Rita Personal Data in a €1 million funding round led by Pitchdrive VC
Rita Personal Data, an Amsterdam, Netherlands-based software startup operating a consumer tracking service for personal data across the internet, announced closing a €1 million ($1.1M) funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Belgium-based VC Pitchdrive and joined by angel investors including Felix Van de Maele (Co-founder of Collibra) and Hristo Borisov (Co-founder of Payhawk).
Rita, founded in 2019 by Guglielmo Schenardi and CEO John Arts, developed a consumer on-demand service available on a mobile app which allows users to view, control, and share their data for rewards. The company says it uses a blockchain-based infrastructure in order to help users visualise which companies are using their data, how they’re being targeting, and estimating a fiscal value attached to their data.
