SchoolSoft, a Stockholm, Sweden-based developer of a software system aimed to simplify and improve day-to-day operations in school and childcare, announced that it was acquired by the Swedish investor Pamir Invest

The financial details remained undisclosed.

SchoolSoft, founded in 2003 and led by Helena Sandelin, CEO, built a software product supports planning and implementation of the school's educational task, as well as simplifies administration and communication with students and parents.

All product development takes place in collaboration with school management, students, teachers and parents on the basis that today's school operations can be significantly improved with the help of modern technology, provided that it addresses all parts of the school's operations and is easily accessible to school users as well as students and parents.

The product is used by about 500 municipal schools and 500 free schools. In Sweden, there are a total of about 6,200 schools, a large majority of which are municipal.
