Scrimba, an Oslo, Norway-based startup providing an educational solution to share coding skills, raised NOK 1.6M ($190k). The backers include Founders Fund and the Nordic Makers, through angel Hampus Jakobsson.

Scrimba, founded in 2016 by Per Harald Borgen, Sindre Aarsæther and Magnus Holm, has developed an online platform that makes it easier for anyone interested to receive explanations or get taught software code via video. In 3 weeks after launching the platform had 1600 registered users.

The funding will be used for further building a community around it, while incentivizing people to create their own content, specifically training materials or documentation.
