Sennder to raise $160 million in series D funding backed by Accel, Lakestar, HV Capital, Project A and Scania.
Sennder, a Berlin, Germany-based freight forwarder operator, announced that it secured a $160 million series D funding round.
The moeny was raised from investors including Accel, Lakestar, HV Capital, Project A and Scania.
Sennder, founded in 2015 by David Nothacker (CEO), Julius Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker, built a digital platform aggregating a connected fleet of thousands of trucks and making it available to logistics providers. The company has 800 employees, works with partners including Poste Italiane, Scania and Siemens, and is now supplying transport services to over 10 organizations listed in the German DAX 30, and 11 companies comprising the Euro Stoxx 50.
Also notable, In 2020 it merged with French competitor Everoad and acquired Uber Freight’s European business.
