sensiBel secured NOK 67M in funding.
sensiBel, an Oslo, Norway-based company manufacturing a ultra-high-sensitivity MEMS microphone, announced that it secured NOK 67M ($6M) in a funding deal.
The transaction is part grant (NOK 25M) and part equity (NOK 42M - $3.8M) provided by EU's EIC Accelerator.
sensiBel, founded as AOD Labs in 2016 as a spinoff from Sintef by Matthieu Lacolle and Jakob Vennerød and led by CEO Sverre Dale Moen, has developed a miniature microphone with high performance and low noise, suitable for use in voice control, noise canceling headphones, video conferencing systems and professional-quality audio recording in cameras and mobile phones.
