Skinome raised SEK 11.5 million from BioGaia Invest and Spotchain

Skinome, a Stockholm, Sweden-based skincare producer, announced that it secured a capital fundraise of SEK 11.5 million ($13.5M).

The money was raised from investors from Sweden, including BioGaia Invest, the private equity company Spotchain and existing shareholders.

In connection with the investment, BioGaia and Skinome will collaborate in the development of microbiome friendly probiotic skin care products both for Skinome and to be rolled out in BioGaia’s international network.

Skinome, founded in 2018 by CEO Johanna Gillbro, is a skin health company developing new and innovative skincare products as well as focusing on research and science on the skin.

Later edit: The company announced the final round was closed at SEK 15M ($1.7M) and included contributions from Thomas Hartwig.
