Smartway announced raising a €10 million funding led by Supernova Invest.
Smartway, a Nantes, France-based provider of an AI-powered solution helping retailers get control of food waste, announced the closing of a €10 million ($11.8 million) funding round.
The money was raised from investors from France led by Supernova Invest, joined by Evolem Start, Holnest, IDIA Capital Investissement, and UNEXO — part of financial services group Crédit Agricole.
Smartway, known as Zéro-Gâchis and founded in 2014 by CEO Paul-Adrien Menez, is developing simple and accessible solutions to reduce food waste retail stores. The company says that it solutions are implemented in over 400 shops from France.
