Solidsport secures SEK 23 million from angel investors from Sweden.
Solidsport, a Stockholm, Sweden-based operator of a sport streaming events, announced completing a SEK 23M ($2.7M) capital raise.
The money was raised from a range of investors including angels from Stockholm Gustaf Rentzhog and Robert Bexell, as well as from existing shareholder Telia.
Solidsport, operated by Solidtango AB, founded in 2016 by Johan Lundqvist and led by CEO Tobias Thalbäck, provides a digital platform for video broadcasting a new type of local and user-generated sports content. The platform counts about 1 million users and makes it possible for teams, leagues and clubs to broadcast and monetize their own sport events through the internet to customers.
Soldisport is not profitable and produced a 2020 turnover of about SEK 30M ($3.6M). The company added funding from Telia in 2017.
