Squiz raises 1.8 million euros in funding from investiere

Squiz, a Paris, France-based producer of reusable, kid friendly food recipients, announced completing a €1.8M ($1.3M) capital investment round.

The money was provided by a range of investors, includin the Swiss ONE CREATION COOPERATIVE (€650k) and the French MAIF Investissement Social et Solidaire (€500k).

Proceeds will be used for launching new products.

Squiz, operated by Ma Bonne Etoile and founded in 2013 by Nicolas and Elizabeth Soubelet, produces food containers promoting zero waste eating and habits. The flagship product is called Squiz and is a reusable food pouch, a one of the only of their kind worldwide sourcing over 60% of their product cost from local suppliers. The company announced aims to launch a second brand called Fillgood, which will be a zero waste benchmark for families, including products like a bento-shaped lunch box made from plant material.

The company received BCorp certification in 2020.
