Terra, a London, UK-based software developer of an API for fitness and health data, announced the completion of a $2.8 million capital funding round.

The money was raised from investors including General Catalyst, Samsung Next, and Next Ventures, and will be used to hire more people in the team.

Terra, founded in 2020 by CEO Kyriakos Eleftheriou and Raouf Yousfi, is building an API solution that makes it easy for developers to access fitness and health data from wearables and sensors. The company says it onboarded around 100 develoipers and that the solution is targeting integration points first with companies that offer APIs, then SDKs.

Terra was part of the European startups at Y Combinator in winter 2021.
