Toothfairy raised a £3 million seed funding round led by ADA Ventures and Slingshot.
Toothfairy, a London, UK-based startup building a marketplace connecting dentists with their patients, announced that it closed a £3 million ($4M) seed funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by ADA Ventures and Slingshot, and joined by Seedcamp, All Iron, Haatch Ventures, as well as representatives from the Atomico Angel Programme, and angel investors Deepali Nangia and Joe Cross. Current investors already include co-founders of Funding Circle James Meekings and Andrew Mullinger, as well as an angel syndicate from the USA.
Toothfairy, founded in 2018 by Deepak Aulak and Kian Dhinsa, developed a marketplace that aims to connect patients to dentists on-demand via video.
The service is complemented by a mobile app, providing access to emergency appointments and teeth whitening sessions, as well as a way for patients to track their treatment, speak to a dentist and update their medical notes all remotely.
Toothfairy is available in the UK and its is being officially approved by the NHS (the local medical authority).
