Trade Republic in a $75 million deal backed by Founders Fund and Accel.

Trade Republic, a Berlin, Germany-based operator of a digital investing company, raised €62 million ($75M) in Series B funding.

The money was raised from investors led by Accel and Founders Fund, joined by #Angels, Creandum and Project A Ventures.

The proceeds will be used to expand operations, expand across Europe, and further the development of its platform for mobile saving, investing, and trading.

Trade Republic, founded in 2015 by Christian Hecker, Thomas Pischke, and Marco Cancellieri, developed a digital investment platform that allows everyone to invest in stocks, ETFs, and derivatives via mobile.

Trade Republic is licensed in Germany, supervised by the Bundesbank and BaFin and counts HSBC, BlackRock, and solarisBank as partners. Since its launch in May 2019, more than 150,000 customers have opened an account and almost one billion euros are now managed through it.
