Treon completed a $1.1M seed capital round from Ventech Capital and angel investors.

Treon, a Tampere, Finland-based company developing smart wireless devices and hardware platform for IoT-solutions, announced raising a EUR 1M ($1.1M) seed funding round.

The money was provided by the French investment company Ventech Capital and a range of angel investors.

The funding will help the company to fuel its ambitions of developing its own products and taking them to the market.

Treon, founded in 2016 by Janne Julkunen and Joni Korppi (CEO), produces on demand IoT solutions, specialized in leveraging wireless connectivity and mesh technologies for massive scale IoT in smart buildings, asset management and industrial Internet. The company has 23 employees and also developed its owned product protfolio under its brand -  a wireless smart devices (Treon Node) and IoT hardware platform (Treon Gateway).

Prior to this round, Treon was funded through a grant from Business Finland.
