Trone raised €2M from business angels.
Trone, a Paris, France-based startup looking to reinvent toilet designs, announced a fundraising of 2 million euros ($2.4M).
Money was raised from a range of French nvestors including investors including Xavier Niel, Victor Lugger, Thibaud Elziere, Frédéric Jousset, Othmane Bouhlal, Véronique Morali and Chantal Baudron.
This funding will allow it to accelerate its development and innovate again, by soon releasing its second model of toilets.
Trone was incubated at Station F. in 20i8 by CEO Hugo Volpei, joined by Camille Mourgues, Romain Freychet and Antoine Prax. The company has the mission of reinventing the experience in the bathroom, an element of our interior too long neglected according to them. Their ultra-designed look toilets (enamelled ceramic bowl, ash wood bezel and transparent glass water tank) are 100% Made in France. They are also equipped with a system that does not mask odors and bacteria but destroys them, thanks to high quality filtration, as well as a tank that allows water savings.
