TwinBody raises DKK 4M to grow a social network for people interested to lose weight.

TwinBody, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup working on a social network for people looking to lose weight, raised DKK 4M ($640k) in funding from two local angel investors, Erik W. Pedersen and Tommy Gundelund Jespersen.

TwinBody, founded in 2016 by CEO Jørgen Damgaard - Hansen, developed a social network designed as an *Instagram for weight loss*, where the user is matched with others who have similar weight and aspirations to smash some pounds.

The company has around 120k users, with growth coming from the US. Prior to this deal, Twinbody raised DKK 2.5M from Bo Wase and Jack Hjeronymus in 2016.
