Ugglo raises $400k in angel money.

Ugglo, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of an online children’s book subscription service and educational tool for pre-schools and schools, secured SEK 3.5M ($400k) in capital investment.

The money was provided by Swedish angel investors including Dan Castillo, Magnus Sandberg and Martin Randel.

Ugglo, founded in 2017 by Jens Malmqvist, Daniel Forslund and CEO Nils Ohlsén, developed a multilingual audiobook service for children, combining the audio book with the picture book to create a really fun and captivating reading experience. The company partnered with Natur & Kultur, Bonnier, B. Wahströms/Storytel, Berghs, Idus, Opal and expects about SEK 5M ($550k) in sales for 2019.
