UV Medico announced securing funding from Seier Capital.

UV Medico, a Galten (Aarhus), Denmark-based producer of UV (ultraviolet) industrial lamps, announced getting into an agreement for securing funding in the company.

The money was raised from local investors from Denmark, including Seier Capital.

UV Medico, founded in 2020 by Mikkel Bandholm and led by CEO Anders Samuelsen, develops an ultra violet-based lamp that can be used in both unoccupied and occupied spaces, highly increasing its effectiveness and usability against the spreading of infectious diseases. The lamp can be used for sterilization and disinfection, killing bacteria and viruses without damaging the surrounding tissue, and is produced based on tech licenced from the Japan producer Ushio, Inc.
