Vilect secured $400k in a seed investment round.

Vilect, an Oslo, Norway-based provider of a software-based recruiting tool, secured NOK 3.4M in capital investment.

The money was provided by new and existing investor, including Krister Kristiansen, Olav Haraldseid, Trond Riiber Knudsen and Arkwright.

Krister Kristiansen and Olav Haraldseid will also join the company's board of directors. Funding will be used to further scale the company's operations.

Vilect, founded in 2016 by CEO Kristoffer Næss Almeland and Nicolai Kirkeng Vennerød, developed a recruitment platform that streamlines the process from job advertisement to hiring service personnel. The company uses predictive analytics to provide hiring recommendations and lets the hiring managers advertise jobs and screen short-listed applicants with recorded video interviews. Vilect has around 15,000 registered users.

Prior to this round, Vilect was incubated in Arkwright X, which provided also funding.
