Vira Health secured £9 million series A from Octopus Ventures, Optum Ventures and existing investors.
Vira Health, a London, UK-based startup developing digital solutions for women, announced securing series A funding round closed at £9M ($11.9M).
The money was raised from investors led by London-based VCs Octopus Ventures, joined by Optum Ventures from US and existing investors LocalGlobe, Amino Collective and MMC Ventures.
Vira Health, founded in 2020 by Andrea Berchowitz and Rebecca Love, is a health provider of digital therapeutics designed to offer evidence-based interventions for menopause symptoms. Its first product, Stella, is an app for menopause relief highlighting 12-week menopause treatment plans, content, and virtual events such as yoga classes or a Q&A with a gynecologist.
Vira Health's business model is selling its products as employer benefits and aims to expand in the US market, focusing on clinical trials and on the addition of medication and telemedicine. It previously was seeded with £1.5 million in a round led by LocalGlobe and MMC Ventures,
