Voltan, a Helsinki, Finland-based company providing energy systems and solutions to real estate developers, announced a new funding round closed at €2.5 million ($2.6M),

The money was raised from investors from Finland, including Holdix Oy, Turret Oy (investment company of the Ehrnrooth family), Nidoco (also controlled by Alexander and Albert Ehrnrooth) and Timo Soininen (Small Giant Games).

Voltan Lähienergia, founded in 2020 by CEO Miikka Lemmetty is a decentralized energy company that implements geothermal systems for apartment buildings and large residential properties and acts as a long-term heat producer for housing companies. The company says it focuses on fast-scaling new construction projects through cooperation with construction companies - it initially aims to build about 30 to 50 sites per year in Finland and intends to expand to other Nordic countries and possibly also to Central Europe.

Voltan previously raised €1 million at the end of 2021.
