VoltStorage, a Munich, Germany-based producer of solar energy storage systems for private homes, announced that it completed a €6 million ($6.9M) capital investment round.

The round was co-led by Korys, Bayern Kapital and EIT InnoEnergy.

VoltStorage, founded in by 2016 by Jakob Bitner, Michael Peither and Felix Kiefl, develops and produces solar energy storage systems for private homes relying on Vanadium Redox Flow (VRF) battery technology.

Thus VoltStorage creates a highly demanded ecological alternative to the lithium technology. The latest product of the Munich-based company is the VoltStorage SMART home battery.
