Whalemap raised $1.6M in a funding round led by Shima Capital and Momentum6.
Whalemap, a London UK-based blockchain analytics company that uses data science to deliver actionable trading insights by looking at big market players, announced securing $1.6 million in funding.
The money was raised from investors led by Shima Capital and Momentum6, with participation from Anthony Pompliano, Ghaf Capital, NFT Technologies, RR2 Capital, EIV Ventures, as well as angel investors from Coin98, Claystack, Solstarter and Rarestone.
The proceeds will be used to hire more engineeers, especially on the data science and blockchain engineering side, and to extend the business development.
Whalemap, founded in 2020 by Artem Lazarev and Andy Bohutsky, built a blockchain analytics platform using data science to deliver real-time actionable trading insights. The company focuses on creating educational content and accessibility and says it handles 34,000 users.
