Wordproof raised angel investment

Wordproof, an Amsertdam, Netherlands-based software developer, announced that it raised an angel investment round.

The money was provided by the founders of Yoast SEO, Marieke van de Rakt and Joost de Valk. The announcement was made as in July 2020 Wordproof received a €1 million grant from the European Commission as the reward for winning a competition called “Blockchains for Social Good" and in June a a convertible loan worth € 275,000 from the Noord-Holland Innovation Fund.

Wordproof, founded in by CEO Sebastiaan van der Lans, is working on a timestamp ecosystem on the blockchain, as it would allow search engines to index websites appropriately, verifying the original source of information.
