Starbreeze (private company)
Starbreeze is a Swedish video game developer.
The company was founded under the name of O3 Games in Östhammar 1998 and moved to Uppsala in 1999.
The company has created the headset StarVR Developing, with unparalelled performance and experience, that allegedly will revolutionize VR industry.
In 2015, Starbreeze had sales of SEK 48.9 million (appr. $6M) and profit before tax of SEK 14 million.
The company made a big bet on VR recently, notably by closely working with Korean gaming company, Smile Gate (which also invested in Starbreeze SEK 215 million in a convertible loan) and by acquiring Epawns, a French VR company, for SEK 52 million.
