2Eyes Vision, a Madrid, Spain-based producer of medical devices, announced that it closed a €1.34M ($1.6M) funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Bullnet Capital, and included a €540k contribution from Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico e Industrial (CDTI)  through its Innvierte program and private investor Jan Bonel.

Proceeds will be used to finance the developments and commercial launch of the SimVisGekko, a novel ophthalmic technology that allows patients to view the real world through multifocal corrections, before the prescription.

2Eyes Vision, founded in 2015 by CEO Carlos Dorronsoro and Susana Marcos, developed SimVis Gekko, a product that allows the patient to test the visual experience that they would have after the implantation of different intraocular lenses, after the adaptation of different contact lenses, or after carving the cornea in laser refractive surgery.
