4.5.6 Skin, a French startup operating from London, UK, announced that it secured €700k ($820k) in seed funding.
The money was raised from French investors, including Be Angels, Fotolia, eFounders and angels Thibaud Elziere, Julien Romanetto, Frédéric Montagnon and Benoit Koerperich.
The moeny will be used to further invest in R&D including testing, and production, and recruit industrial production specialists as well as sales and customer care specialists.
4.5.6 Skin, founded in 2019 in Gellainville (northern France) by CEO Noelly Michoux, is working for the developemnt of unique skincare, backed by science and addressing the gap in the global beauty market for non-caucasian skins.
The company was incubated at the LVMH Research Centre, and works from its own lab and production unit in the Cosmetic Valley in France, catering to skin phototypes IV, V and VI otherwise known as melanin-rich skin.
4.5.6 Skin offers clean and biodynamic formulas and will debut its launch by introducing a 6 step customised skincare routine designed to be tailored to the skincare needs of all origins with melanin-rich skin. 4.5.6 Skin is set to develop, test, manufacture and sell custom-made skincare products formulated with a bespoke regime that addresses the specific needs of skin with higher levels of pigmentation. This includes factors such as dryness, excess sebum production, acne, hyperpigmentation, and dullness; as well as strengthening the skin barrier thus making it more resilient.
