Addressya secures SEK 13 million from existing investors
Addressya, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software startup, announced that it raised the capital with SEK 13M ($1.6M).
The money was provided by existing investors, including Sverker Thufvesson, Johan Andersson, Mel & Me and KTH Holding.
Addressya, founded in 2017 as Map Projects by CEO Karoline Beronius, developed an app that combines GPS data and existing address information with traditional directions like images and landmarks. The service is widely available for customers in Africa, is based on Google's mapping services and is free for private individuals. The company also operates an "addressing as a service" feature aimed at companies that depend on addresses to deliver goods and services.
