Again, a London, UK-based startup developing a reusable packaging that can be refilled and reused, announced a pre-seed equity round closed at £2.55 million ($3.3M).

The money was raised from investors led by the London-based Eka Ventures and joined by the Danish investment arm of Maersk, Maersk Growth.

Again, founded in 2021 by CEO Matt Kennedy, developed a proprietary piece of tech - CleanCells - that can clean reusable packaging and prepare it for refill and reuse, with the aim to provide an alternative to single-use packaging solutions. In addition to the product per se, the company is building a a decentralised network of cleaning tech, enabling brands to reuse packaging for the same price as single use. It says it partnered with companies including Budweiser Brewing Group and Diageo, alongside waste management companies, like Biffa and SWRnewstar.
