Agile Robots raised a $130m Series A from New Hope Group (China), Hillhouse Capital Group and Sequoia Capital China.
Agile Robots, a Munich, Germany and Beijing China-based developer of professional robotic solutions, announced that it has secured a total of $130 million in 2020.
The money was raised from investors mostly from China, including Sequoia Capital China, Hillhouse’s venture capital unit GL Ventures, and Linear Venture.
In addition to the $130 million, Agile also secured an undisclosed sum in its Series B round from Bank of Communications’ Hong Kong subsidiary BOCOM International, CMB International’s telecom fund, and private-owned conglomerate New Hope Group.
Agile, founded in 2018 by Peter Meusel and Zhaopeng Chen, does design of intelligent robots mostly used in healthcare and manufacturing.
