Aidee Health raises NOK 8.8 million.
Aidee Health, a Lillestrøm, Norway-based startup building a business based on a health wearable device, secured a funding round totalling NOK 8.8 million ($1M).
The money was raised from investors from Norway, including SINTEF Venture V AS, Datek AS shareholders, Stratel AS, Startuplab Venture AS, TRK Group AS (Trond Riiber Knudsen), Mehrat Rafaz and Hypersensation AS (a consortium of GPs and professionals).
Aidee Health is a spinoff from local software company Datek and is led by CEO Espen Westgaard, based on technology from Sintef Digital. The company developed a wearable and medically accurate blood pressure monitor for continuous measurements. The solution is now in the 3rd generation and is currently being tested in Norway at Ullevål University Hospital and Sandefjord Health Park, before the process of regulatory approval starts at the end of the year. The development project has a strong clinical foundation and has been developed in close collaboration with GPs and patients
