Aivo Health in a €2M funding round backed by Maki VC.

Aivo Health, an Espoo, Finland-based startup providing a personalized self-care health program, announced that it raised a €2M ($2.4M) seed funding round.

The money was raised from local investors from Finland, including Maki VC and Courage Ventures.

Aivo Health, founded 2017 by Melissa Farmer, Vania Apkarian, Rolf Sormo and CEO Mika Marjalaakso, developed a mobile application that can assist with help for treatment of chronic back pain. The company is developing a personalized self-care program with leading neuroscientists that teaches brain to overcome chronic back pain. To cure chronic pain, the brain needs to be rewired and Aivo's program uses emotional learning to treat the root cause of chronic pain. By discovering personal pain profile Aivo is able to create personalized daily programs, which are fine-tuned monthly to start journey towards pain-free life.
