Alias Robotics to get investment from Wayra.

Alias Robotics, an Alava, Spain-based develoer of Robot Immune System (RIS), an artificial immune system for robots, announced that it entered into an investment agreement with Telefonica Spain.

The transaction involves raising capital from Telefonica's Wayra, an investment that will be integrated into the portfolio of Telefónica Tech Ventures , its new investment vehicle in cybersecurity startups.

The deal is part of a larger collaboration between Telefónica and Alias ​​Robotics which includes the creation of the world's first robotic cybersecurity laboratory in Munich, Germany.

Alias ​​Robotics, founded in 2017 and led by CEO David Mayoral Vilches, develops robotic cybersecurity solutions. The company's product, the Robot Immune System - RIS, is a cybersecurity system that is incorporated into robots, protecting them, evolving and adapting like the human immune system itself.

ALias Robotics previously raised money from Baron Capital in 2019.
