AlphaSense closed $50 million in Series B funding.
AlphaSense, a Helsinki, Finland and San Francisco, USA-based company providing software services for the financial industry, announced that it raises $50M in series B funding round.
The financing deal was led by Innovation Endeavors and included existing investors Soros Fund Management LCC, Tribeca Venture Partners, Triangle Peak Partners and Vendep Oy. Rick Scanlon, Founding Partner at Innovation Endeavors, will also join the board of directors.
The money will be used for internationalization and product development.
AlphaSense, founded in 2008 and led by CEO Jaakko Kokko, built a search engine tailored to the needs of enterprises to gather market intelligence around specific trends and industries. The company works with more than 1000 clients, mostly investment banks and related financial services companies.
Prior to this deal, AlphaSense announced having raised about $35M in external funding.
