Altor buys 100% of Trioplast from the founding family.
Trioplast, a Smålandsstenar, Sweden-based group of companies which develop, produce and distribute film and packaging material for use in a variety of industries and operations, announced getting into an agreement for selling the company to Altor Funds.
The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made through Altor Fund IV for 100% of Trioplast Industrier AB from Bo Larsson.
Trioplast was founded in 1965 by Vilhelm Larsson in Smålandsstenar. Since 1984 the company is owned by Vilhelm’s son, Bo Larsson, who has developed the company into a leading player in Europe, by continuous development of innovative and sustainable plastic film products.
Trioplast has a turnover of SEK 4,3bn () and approximately 1000 employees. The company’s main office is located in Smålandsstenar. Production is located in Sweden, Denmark and France and the products are sold on the global market.
