Alvius, a London, UK-based operator of a digital recruitment platform, announced that it has secured £1 million ($1.3M).

The money was raised from a range of investors led by Joe Saumarez Smith. Proceeds will be used to develop the company's applicant tracking, vendor management and talent pool technology into bespoke software solutions for public and sector employers.

Alvius, founded in 2013 and led by CEO Andrew Lavelle, developed talentpool.com, a tool using advanced automation and data science techniques to attract, match and track candidates, streamlining the recruitment process and saving employers time and money.

Following a competitive tendering process, Alvius has been selected as an approved supplier of talentpool software to the UK public sector under the MSTAR3 national framework.
