Anders Holch Povlsen, one of the richest and active angel investor from Denmark, takes a majority equity position in Miinto, the Danish fashion retailer.
The transaction represents a nine figure investment in DKK (double-digit million-euro sum) and it was made on behalf of one of Anders Holch Povlsen holdings, Bestseller, a competing international clothes retailer chain.
Both companies are based in Denmark. Miinto sells in the Nordic countries, while Bestseller operates also in other parts of Europe.
Anders Holch Povlsen has been very active in building equity e-commerce positions in the Nordics. Besides his shares inAsos and Zalando, he has recently also invested in the Danish food giant network Nemlig.com (with sales of DKK 1bn estimated for 2016) and in the Swedish MatHem.se, in which he put SEK 207 million in 2015.
