Argent announced $40 million Series B round led by Fabric Ventures and Metaplanet.
Argent, a London, UK-based crypto startup building a wallet for Ethereum-based digital currencies and blockchain applications, announced securing series B funding round closed at $40 million.
The money was raised from investors led by Fabric Ventures and Metaplanet, joined by existing investors Paradigm, Index Ventures and Creandum as well as by Starkware, Jump and Animoca.
Argent, founded in 2017 by Gerald Goldstein, CEO Itamar Lesuisse and Julien Niset, developed a smart wallet for crypto that does everything you'd expect from a bank but for digital currencies. The platform is enabling customers to buy, trade and earn crypto at the tap of a button, with a single app for all things DeFi and Web3. It says it handles around 500k users, with growing demand from Latin America.
Aregnt previously raised $12 million in 2020.
