Super Payments raised £22.5 million from investors led by Accel, with participation from Union Square Ventures and LocalGlobe.

Super Payments, a London, UK-based startup developing a fintech marketplace, announced completing a £22.5 million ($30.4M) capital investment round.

The money was raised from international VC investors, led by American Accel, joined by also American Union Square Ventures and London-based LocalGlobe. The round included contributions from multiple angel investors, including Ron Kalifa, (former CEO of WorldPay), Edward Wray (co-founder of Betfair), Peter Jackson (CEO of Flutter), Gokul Rajaram, (Board member of Coinbase), Andrew Robb (former COO of Farfetch) and Maria Raga, (former CEO of Depop).

Proceeds will be used as the company aims to launch its product in the second part of 2022.

SuperPayments, founded in 2021 by CEO Samir Desai of Funding Circle fame, is building a payment processing-based marketplace connecting brands, enabling them a new distribution channel with consumers, providing them with cashback upon purchasing.
