ARKK Copenhagen announces closing series A investment round from Friheden Invest and North-East Venture.
ARKK Copenhagen, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based retailer managing an Nordic sneaker brand operation, announced securing Series A investment round.
The money comes from Danish investment companies Friheden Invest and North-East Venture and will be used to help scale ARKK Copenhagen's plans to enter new markets including Canada, United States, Australia and South Korea in 2018.
ARKK Copenhagen, founded in 2014 and led by Creative Director Kasper Høj Rasmussen and CEO Thomas Refdahl, developed a retail operation centered around am unique sneaker identity and footwear collections 100% designed in Copenhagen. The company produces four annual collections for men and women, available in over 37 countries, online and offlne.
In 2017, ARKK was profitable and registered in the books sales of DKK 11M ($1.8M). Other investors in the company include Kristian Lee Dahm Dickow (through Dickow Holding), Kasper Thejll-Karstensen and Allan Muff.
