AwareGO to raise $1.6M in equity from Eyrir Invest and a loan from Kvika bank.

AwareGO, a Reykjavik, Iceland-based producer of B2B security video content, announced that it completed a ISK 200M ($1.6M) capital investment round. 

The money was provided by backers including existing shareholder Eyrir Invest, which becomes the largest single investor. At the same time, the company secured a loan financing provided by Kvika bank.

AwareGO, founded in 2010 and led by CEO Ragnar Sigurðsson, specializes in network security education for companies and organizations worldwide. The company currently has about 8 million users, mainly in Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia and employs 15 people in Iceland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and recently opened an office in the USA.

AwareGO raised a total of ISK 360M ($3M) over the last 15 months.
