Babyland announces its merger with Stor & Liten
Babyland, a Stockholm, Sweden-based retail operation selling toys, announced its merger with Stor & Liten, a Stockholm, Sweden-based ecommerce company also active on the toy vertical.
The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed. Based on the 2017 figures, their businesses combined together will total just over SEK 230M ($26M).
Stor & Liten, founded in 2010, is owned by Swedish venture company Verdane Capital, which purchased it from Aggregate Media in 2016. The company was losing money and registered SEK 41.4M in 2017.
Babyland, founded in 1959 and led by CEO Christian Karlander, has online and offline operations, was breakeven in 2016 with total sales of SEK 137M. The company main shareholder is Pär Svärdson, through Laulima.
