Bairro announced getting funded with €1.2 million.
Bairro, a Lisbon, Portugal-based startup building a business based on delivery of groceries and food, announced that it raised €1.2 million ($1.4M).
The money was raised from a range of angel investors, including Leonid Dovladbegyan (general director of online hypermarket Vprok.ru - X5 Retail Group), Dmitry Shklyar, Alex Vasiliev, (former director of JD.com and Cainiao), and Andrey Tsytsenko (former director of Delivery Club and Pandao).
Proceeds will be used for expansion.
Bairro, founded in 2021 by Artem Kokhan and Milana Dovzhenko, developed a mobile application that allows fast delivery of supermarket products, food and essential goods. The service is available in Lisbon.
Bairro is one of the many online grocery startups from Europe funded by venture money.
