BankBridge secured NOK 17.8M for a business providing a global API for banking.

BankBridge, an Oslo, Norway-based company providing a platform for platform for distribution and consumption of API banking and FinTech API provision, secured NOK 17.8M ($2.3M) in private financing.

The money comes from a range of investors including Gunnar Rydning, Newmark Capital, an undisclosed Swedish investor group and a South Korean company. The deal values the comapny at NOK 105M ($13.4M) pre-money, and the founders retain 54% control in the company.

BankBridge, launched as a subsidiary of Fintech Innovation in May 2017 by Christoffer Andvig and Olav Telset, is building a platform providing an universal API that allows banks to easily become "PSD2 ready", enabling fintech companies to connect to banks in a direct way. The company has 19 employees
