Bankify secures seed funding for a social finance sharing app .

Bankify, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup working on a mobile app that as a social wallet, announced securing seed investment funding from Odysseus Investments Fund, a Luxembourg-based investment company owned by Reech Corporations Group.

The amount of the investment remains undisclosed.

Bankify, founded in July 2016 by Antti Tarakkamäki and Tero Lappalainen, helps users share spending within their social network. The company targets people in the 15-39 year age demographic who are comfortable operating in the digitally enabled world, are happy sharing personal data freely and increasingly expect to be able to manage their whole life, finances included, on their smart phone.

Bankify has been successfully soft-launched in Finland, with the next targets for expansion Ireland and the Netherlands.
