Barnebys buys the US-based Simple Auction Site.

Barnebys, a Stockholm, Sweden-based meta engine for art sales, acquired Simple Auction Site, a US-based white label developer of professional online auction software. The deal has the financial details undisclosed.

Barnebys, founded in 2011 by Christopher Barnekow (CEO) and Pontus Silfverstolpe, developed a search service for art, antiques and collectibles. The company has offices in USA, UK, France, Spain and Germany and clients include the world’s top tier of auctioneers, antique dealers, galleries as well as regional and local businesses.

Barnebys is run by the founders but with external fundings, from investors including Inbox Capital, Industrifonden, Active Venture Partners, Howsat or Monkfish.
