Basket, a London, UK-based software startup building an affiliate ecommerce operation, announced that it secured a £2 million ($2.7M) seed funding round.

The money was raised locally from London from investors led by Lightbank and joined by Darren Westlake from Crowdcube, Justine Roberts from Mumsnet and Jonathan Quin from Worldfirst.

Basket, founded in 2021 by Lex Deak of QVentures, is working on the development of a web service allowing users to bookmark potential purchases from anywhere on or offline and organise them in a single space. The app will then inform them of price drops or any discounts available on their items.
