BBC Maestro announced raising £2.05 million from Downing Ventures and Great Point Ventures
BBC Maestro, a London, UK-based operator of a video-based educational platform, announced that it completed a £2.05 million ($2.8M) funding round.
The money was raised from investors including Downing Ventures and Great Point Ventures.
Proceeds of investment will be used to expand marketing efforts and accelerate talent acquisition and production while also transitioning the service to a subscription all-access pass.
BBC Maestro operates under license from BBC Studios but is an independent business and provides an Ed-Tech video led e-learning platform that offers courses taught by experienced creators. Despite initially marketing the service to UK consumers, the company has seen international interest from all over the world.
