Beammwave in a $4 million funding round backed by Walerud and Jörgen Lantto.
BeammWave, a Lund, Sweden-based developer of an antenna technology for 5G, primarily intended for mobile phones and IoT equipment, announced in a press release the completion of a SEK 34.5 million ($4M) funding round.
The money was raised from local investors from Sweden, including Fingerprint Cards' former CEO Jörgen Lantto and business angel Jane Walerud.
BeammWave, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Stefan Svedberg, aims to manufacture an inexpensive single chip RFIC for digital beamforming including front-end and antenna arrays, to be used in any device including mobile phones and IoT devices.
BeammWave previously raised SEK 6.5 million in funding from Holding, Thomas Rex and Almi Invest. in 2020.
