Beleco adds SEK 2M in funding, announces Beleco Market.

Beleco, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company managing a marketplace and community for rental of furniture, announced taking in SEK 2M ($240k) in additional capital funding to the company.

The backing comes from existing investors, including Anna Ljungbergh (Chairman of the Board), Anders Göransson of Soläng Invest, Simon Josefsson and Mattias Weinhandl. The money will be used for marketing its platform and for the expansion of the team.

Beleco, founded in 2016 by Marie Rudenstam (CEO), Sebastian Rudenstam and Pontus Gustafsson, developed a digital platform providing a matching service that connects individuals who sell their homes with interior designers, enabling a smooth business and personal styling.

The service, called Beleco Market, also offers short-term rental of design furniture for events, fairs and photoshoots. The design furniture and decor used in styling are for sale and can be purchased new or "streamed" per month by the buyer, making each home a potential store and a personal showroom where buyers see the decor on site in their new home.
