Bellpall, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company manufacturing a security watch for senior citizens, announced in a press release that it received an undisclosed amount of strategic investment.

The funding was provided by Permobil, a Swedish provider of advanced medical technology, and is part of a larger plan of joint development of predictive and preventive technologies as well as making available Bellpall's products in a wide range of markets.

Permobil, which is owned by Patricia Industries a part of Investor AB, will take a minority stake in Bellpal and Helene Svahn will join Bellpal's board.

Bellpal, founded in 2016 and led by CEO David Ziemsky, is a startup providing a service to predict and alert falls among seniors and other groups who are at risk of fall-related injuries. The service is delivered via a discreet hand-crafted watch. Inside the watch is a real-time AI device, a self-taught service that can both alert and provide access to personal support 24 hours a day. The tests carried out with partners in- and outside- Sweden have shown world-leading reliability and precision in the case of a fall.

Prior to this investment, Bellpall raised money from Göran Grosskopf, Per Berglund, John Krueger and the singer Molly Sandén.
